Why TOG Aviation College?

Papua New Guinea relies heavily on aviation to connect communities, support economic activity, and deliver essential services across the country. With many remote areas accessible only by air, the aviation sector plays a critical role in national development.

However, maintaining a safe, reliable and sustainable aviation system requires a skilled workforce across many areas including aerodrome operations, aviation security, ground operations, supervision and management.

Developing the next generation of aviation professionals is therefore essential to the continued growth and safety of Papua New Guinea’s aviation sector.

Programs designed with aviation sector needs in mind.

Hybrid learning combining online and face-to-face training.

Programs aligned with employment opportunities in aviation and logistics sectors.

Industry-Aligned Training

Papua New Guinea relies heavily on aviation to connect communities, support economic development, and deliver essential services across the country. Maintaining a safe and reliable aviation system requires a skilled workforce across many operational areas including aerodrome operations, aviation security, ground operations, supervision and management.

Following the disintegration of the former Department of Civil Aviation Training College in the pre- independence days, locally available aviation training pathways became limited. TOG Aviation College was established in response to this gap, with the goal of contributing to the rebuilding of aviation workforce capability through practical, industry-aligned training programs.

The College is committed to delivering competency-based training that reflects real operational environments while benchmarking its programs against international aviation and vocational education standards.

Flexible Delivery

TOG Aviation College recognises the diverse needs of students and organisations across Papua New Guinea. To support access to training, the College aims to provide flexible learning opportunities that may include blended delivery through classroom learning, practical training and online learning technologies.

This flexible approach enables working professionals, organisations and aspiring aviation personnel to access training that fits their circumstances while maintaining high training standards.

Career Pathways

TOG Aviation College is focused on developing clear training pathways that support the growth of Papua New Guinea’s aviation workforce from entry-level roles through to supervisory and management positions.

Through qualifications such as Certificate II, Certificate III, Certificate IV and Diploma level programs, the College aims to support career progression across multiple aviation roles including ground operations, aerodrome operations, aviation security, supervision and aviation management.

By creating structured learning pathways, TOG Aviation College seeks to contribute to the long-term development of a skilled aviation workforce that supports safe and sustainable aviation operations in Papua New Guinea.
